Excellent article about a much needed topic. The NHS needs to provide a safe, high-quality service for very severe ME. That BACME doesn't treat it, shows the futility of their approach.

Another post showing the cimbination of rigour and empathy in #ThereforME's work. There is ample material here, given the unanimity of response (even if only within a small cohort), for a responsible Department of Health to openly recognise past and current failings and to move forward with focus on the necessity of fundamental, systemic change.

This is such an excellent, and reassuring, article - I would love to see it get shared widely with relevant NHS clinical staff! Well done 💚

This clearly shows such an absurd and shocking situation. Replace ME with any other condition and there'd be public outcry and disbelief at how poorly treated people are. Imagine carers of people with cancer or MND being concerned that the services on offer will cause more harm or not involve people with sufficient knowledge about their condition. The contributors to this are the experts so their opinions matter more than any other.

Many thanks for an insightful study & for sharing the results. I hope it is possible to set up a specialist service for all #pwME, most especially those with severe ME but also to help prevent others from deteriorating due to harmful advice.
