Much respect and gratitude to Yanto Evans for such a fact filled Covid update. I am in support of collating informative updates for the purpose of enabling medical professionals to better use our personal stories in the face of future pandemics. It’s surely a given that funds should be allocated to training all UK GP’s beyond the standard of knowledge those of us affected by pre-vaccine Covid-19 in early 2020 have had to acquire for ourselves.
@gwladwr on X often shares the weekly stats for nosocomial covid infection in Wales. They are consistently showing that over 70% of those in hospital with covid in Wales actually caught it there. It’s great that Wales is collecting this information (where England is not, as far as I know) but the lack of action based on this information is glaring. How they can “past-tense” the pandemic in this context, I’m not sure. Healthcare should be safer than this.
