Our story

ThereForME is a registered charity working to bring the reality of ME directly to the people with the power to act. The charity was founded in 2024 as a grassroots campaign by Karen Hargrave and Emma Gore-Lloyd, whose partners both have very severe ME. They shared a common experience of managing with very little support and understanding, and were shocked at the systemic challenges faced by those with ME.

Now a registered charity, ThereForME is building the foundations to drive forward lasting change. ThereForME works towards a world where healthcare, wider public services, and society are truly there for people affected by ME.
